Hi and welcome to Mindset Your Life!
This website is for anyone who is interested in personal development and wanting to find inspiration, motivation, tips and ideas on how to create a successful life.
Have you ever felt stuck? Have you ever felt like you don’t belong? Have you ever felt the pressure to be someone you are not? Perhaps you want to be the perfect son or daughter, parent, employee, student, leader, girlfriend or boyfriend, husband or wife, but you just can’t seem to live up to the ideals.
Does it matter that your garden is filled with beautiful flowers when your eyes are fixed on the flowers next door?
In order to create the life that we want, it’s highly important to have the right mindset to begin with.
I know how it is to feel stuck physically, mentally and energetically. I have experienced the feeling of not belonging, I have felt the pressure to perform and I have compared myself with others.
At 18 years of age, I left my safe little world in Sweden and moved to Slovakia where I worked as a volunteer in a youth project for one year. This decision of mine was the starting point of a positive transformation. I moved away from the hidden pressures of society, I moved away from the pressures that I put on myself, the pressures of my mind.
Growing up, I was always the good girl. I didn’t say much, but I always performed well at school and I did what I was told. A society that put extroverts on a pedestal will automatically shadow the quieter introverts, like me, who are there but are often invisible, who speak but are seldom heard.
When I was about 10 years old, I wrote a poem about a tiny bud that was waiting to blossom and become a beautiful flower like the others. I believe that all of us at different stages in life, blossom and become beautiful flowers in different colours, forms and shapes.
The thing is that we never stop growing and we never stop blossoming. I am an introvert, but I have learned to speak up in my own way. I have come to realise that in order to break bad habits we need to let go, take action and move forward.
Movement is life.
Physically, move your body.
Mentally, shift your focus.
Physically and mentally, expand your boundaries.
Energetically, spend time in nature.
Spiritually, practice love and gratitude.
We need to change the way we think and what we believe about ourselves and the world around us. We need to stop hitting the snooze button and get up, because life doesn’t wait.
We need to learn to like change, because change is inevitable. Changing one’s mindset can be the key to the door of unlimited potential.
Mindset Your Life has been created with the purpose of helping people (including myself) find wellbeing and prosperity through personal development and self-empowerment.
I believe the definition of success should be redefined. The best definition of success that I’ve heard so far is by Earl Nightingale:
“Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy goal or ideal”
This means that as long as you are moving towards a goal or ideal, you are successful.
Love and Gratitude
